Federal Judges for Life a Huge Mistake

Three Branches of GovernmentWhen our Founding Fathers created the Constitution of the United States they provided for three branches of government; legislative, executive and judicial. While this was meant to create checks and balances, they may not have known what monster they were creating in 1) appointing federal judges for life and 2) allowing Congress to create lower federal courts as it sees fit.

However, by 1823, Founding Father and third president Thomas Jefferson had already noted their error in this matter.

He wrote: “At the establishment of our constitutions, the judiciary bodies were supposed to be the most helpless and harmless members of the government. Experience, however, soon showed in what way they were to become the most dangerous; that the insufficiency of the means provided for their removal gave them a freehold and irresponsibility in office; that their decisions, seeming to concern individual suitors only, pass silent and unheeded by the public at large; that these decisions, nevertheless, become law by precedent, sapping, by little and little, the foundations of the constitution, and working its change by construction, before any one has perceived that that invisible and helpless worm has been busily employed in consuming its substance. In truth, man is not made to be trusted for life, if secured against all liability to account”

Some of his wording is incredible:
-“…soon showed in what way they were to become the most dangerous…”
-“…the insufficiency of the means provided for their removal gave them a freehold and irresponsibility in office…”
-“…that these decisions, nevertheless, become law by precedent, sapping, by little and little, the foundations of the constitution…”

Lady JusticeWith Donald Trump’s presidency we have seen District Judges, and their less than ethical attorneys and advocacy groups, ban together to shred our Constitution and laws in order to thwart our Commander in Chief’s efforts to keep our country safe.

Using loopholes they have created by either leaving out or ignoring words in our Constitution or reinterpreting what some wording means they have put our nation at risk.

A couple of the more high-level ones were these:

1)  The Trump administration attempted to pause refugee resettlement for 120 days and block citizens of Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen from entering the U.S. for a period of 90 days.

At the request of the state of Hawaii, U.S. District Court Judge Derrick Watson prevented Trump’s executive order from going into effect.

2)  U.S. District Court Judge Jon Tigar issued a nationwide restraining order ordering the Trump administration to allow any and all caravaners who cross the border. The judge stated that they could stay for as long as it takes to process their asylum claims.

Our president was simply following exiting laws and attempting to secure our southern border.

Both of these rulings are, factually, unconstitutional.

We the PeopleIn the travel ban, as a state was involved (Hawaii), Article III Section 2 clearly states that the supreme Court shall have jurisdiction.  How, then, could a judge from an inferior court, stop the president’a actions?

Meanwhile, Tigar simply rode roughshod over our Constitution and our Immigration Laws allowing any and all people entering the country illegally to remain.

These judges and their unethical allies pervert meanings of words and toss around expressions such as “due process” and “equal protection” to get their way, as if those terms apply to illegal non-citizens of the United States.

With no real means to get rid of them they run amok and, as Jefferson pointed out almost 200 years ago, as we sit by, they end up “sapping, by little and little, the foundations of the constitution.”

And there goes, little by little, our freedom, our rights, our liberty.

United together under our U.S. Constitution we can keep America free.  Founder Benjamin Franklin put it this way: “We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately.”
