How America Has Changed
One Generation Away
That was when a DC-outsider, Donald J. Trump, captured the nation's highest office from a life-long political crony. Since then much as been uncovered.
Consider illegal immigration.
This is now a huge division, where before it was something both parties agreed upon.
Barack Obama, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, and other prominent Democrats used to speak out against an unprotected border and the issue of illegal immigrants flooding into our country.
All that changed after November 8, 2016.
Most Democrats now very openly favor and strongly support: unchecked border crossings; (illegal) sanctuary cities, counties and states; untold billions of taxpayer dollars paid annually to illegal immigrants in welfare, healthcare, housing and more; allowing illegal immigrants licenses to drive and, in some places, the means to vote.
And if you happen to disagree with them, you are labeled a racist.
Perhaps even more frightening is the very deep anti-American diatribe that has spread like wildfire across mainstream media the past few years from avowed Socialists and people who embrace Sharia Law above our Supreme Law of the Land.
Every candidate for the Democratic 2020 presidential nomination ups the ante for how much free stuff We the People will receive if they are elected. Along with taking away our Second Amendment rights.
Capitol Hill truly is a swamp. A deeply infested one.
President Ronald Reagan spoke of this in 1983. Over three decades later then-candidate Donald J. Trump took this up as one of his battle cries, "Drain the Swamp."
And since that time, the Swamp has been shown for what it has become to be an elected representative of the people, NOT a "leader" as some members of Congress refer to themselves.
There are numerous places in our once free America that have been established as Free Speech Zones, the assigned locations for saying what you wish. Many are set up on institutions funded by taxpayer money which, of course, seriously violates our First Amendment.
Freedom. Liberty. Rights.
They are being stripped away. But no longer slowly and hidden. Now most of it is out in the open.
As well, celebrities have publicly dishonored our Flag and National Anthem and called for the assassination of our president. Some of their fans blindly follow suit.
Patriotic Americans MUST fight back.
They must become armed with knowledge and application of our US Constitution. Our Founders were emphatic that only with educated Citizens could we, and would we, remain a free Republic (NOT a Democracy).
Among them, Thomas Jefferson said, “Educate and inform the whole mass of the people... They are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty.” John Adams stated, “Liberty cannot be preserved without general knowledge among the people,” and “Children should be educated and instructed in the principles of freedom.”
Suffice it to say that when students are indoctrinated to other ideologies and not educated on our US Constitution and its founding principals that there is a problem. A huge one. It becomes worse when history is re-written and taught to fit an anti-American agenda.
They will no longer pledge allegiance to our Flag, to our Country. They will not defend either of them.
This is how Freedom is lost.
There are many ways to learn and/or teach the basics. You can start by watching the award-winning In Search of Liberty Constitution movie. For more in-depth study you can enroll in a one-day Constitution Boot Camp from Building Blocks for Liberty or consider joining KrisAnne Hall's Liberty First University.
Our first president, George Washington, laid it at our feet, “The preservation of the sacred fire of liberty, and the destiny of the Republican model of Government, are justly considered as deeply, perhaps as finally staked, on the experiment entrusted to the hands of the American people."
It is the responsibility of every American Patriot to ensure that his and her family members and friends are educated in this area.
Perhaps Reagan said it best, during his 1967 inaugural address as Governor of California, “Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again.”
One. Generation. Away.
Think about that.
