In Search of Liberty will Donate to Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund
A Message from Director Norm Novitsky
A part of our great country is hurting right now. Like many of you, we’ve been watching the news cycle on the devastation in Houston and the surrounding area. Our hearts ache for those affected, but if there’s anything we’ve learned from Texas, it’s that the American spirit will not be suppressed.
Displaced families have been welcomed with open arms by complete strangers, boats have arrived from all over the country to assist in transporting stranded families, and thousands of volunteers have come together to start the process of rebuilding these homes.
The waters may be receding, but there’s still so much work that needs to be done. This is just the beginning of a long road to recovery.
In solidarity and standing with Houston, IC Liberty Films, distributing the just-released movie “In Search of Liberty,” is pledging twenty-five percent (25%) of all sales through the end of September, up to a total of $100,000, to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund, established by Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner.
Hurricane Harvey has shown us, once again, just how powerful Mother Nature can be and we want to do what we can to help as many people as possible who have been affected by this tragedy. We are thankful that Mayor Turner set up the Fund, locally administered through the Greater Houston Community Foundation.
People who buy the film can be confident that 25% of their purchase price is going to help the hurricane’s unfortunate victims. My production company is donating the first $5,000. We are grateful to other film production companies and those in the industry who have already stepped forward with their contributions and truly hope that everyone does for the sake of those people who have been affected.
